Paul (forum username: porwig) first learned about Joomla! in 2008 when he was asked to develop a website for his son's high school baseball program. After doing research to choose a content management system for that project, he concluded that not only was Joomla! the best solution, but that it also had the friendliest and and most helpful community.

Paul has over 15 years of professional internet and web technology experience along with a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the University of Denver. He works as a freelance web solutions provider based in Parker, Colorado.

He has contributed to the Joomla! community as a member of the Community Leadership Team, lead editor for the Joomla! Community Magazine, webmaster for the Joomla! Community Portal, and co-manager of the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

 
Alice Grevet

After completing a professional certificate in website design at the American University of Paris in 2001, Alice became a Mambo user, followed soon thereafter by Joomla! In 2005 she became a free-lance website developer, specializing in Joomla! website solutions for Paris-based non-profits.

She served a seven year term as Webmanager for FAWCO, the largest federation of American clubs overseas, earning the Circle of Honor award. She is Operations Manager for the Online Publishers Association Europe, a non-profit organization whose mission is the viability of digital media for producers of original news content.

Alice is Co-Lead Editor on the Joomla! Community Magazine with Dianne Henning.

 
Leonel Canton

Leonel has been living in Guatemala City, Central America, since 1987, where he works as IT Manager for a real estate developer company. He become a Mambo User in late 2004, when he was asked to develop a website for his mom's church.


Leonel has collaborated in forums within the Spanish-speaking communities, and also works on the Spanish Translation Team. He is a co-organizer of the Joomla! User Group Guatemala City (joomlagt), and is part of the organizing team of of JoomlaDay Guatemala.

At Galileo University, Leonel also teaches database classes at the graduate school.

Ofer is an Open Source evangelist and has been involved in free software since 2005. His experience is in development management of start-ups and enterprise products in the "start-up nation" and innovative country of Israel.

A core team member of the Israeli Joomla User Group, Ofer is also the Hebrew translation coordinator, as well as Joomla!Day Israel organizer. He is a member of the bug squad, code contributor to the Joomla! Platform and CMS, and right-to-left implementer of Joomla! core templates.

An expat in Paris for 20 years, Dianne has recently moved back to the US. She has a background in both print and web-based graphic design. She has coordinated and produced the graphics and print material for several high-profile, non-profit organizations in Paris. These projects include event invitations to large-scale art exhibitions, catalogs, logo design, style guides and brand manuals.

She obtained a professional certificate in website design at the American University of Paris in 2001. Initially introduced to Mambo, she quickly went to Joomla! and has been a fan ever since. She specializes in website solutions for Paris-based non-profits, as well as artists in France and the US.

Dianne is also Co-Lead Editor on the Joomla! Community Magazine with Alice Grevet, the organizer of JoomlaDay Boston, and has been a co-host for JoomStew Radio.

Jacques (jconsultingza) lives in scenic Cape Town, South Africa. He is the owner of New Web Consulting, which focuses on building and supporting web sites on the Joomla! CMS. He first got involved with Joomla! at the start of 2007 when a client required a Content Management System for their new web site. After some research, he decided on Joomla! and he’s never looked back!

Jacques is the current Trademark Team Leader, and actively involved in the Joomla! Social Media and PR & Marketing teams, as well as a regular contributor to the Joomla! Community Magazine. He is also an co-organizer of the Joomla! User Group Cape Town (JUGCT), and part of the organizing team of of joomladay.org.za

Sarah is a Joomla evangelist who lives in Stockholm, Sweden. She runs the Joomla! specialized web agency Pixpro. Sarah has been working with marketing, communication, sales and education for more than 20 years. Her passion is to provide great business value to the projects with which she is involved.

Sarah discovered Mambo in 2004 and moved to Joomla in 2005. She fell in love with Joomla! with it's vibrant community and began contributing to the community. Her first involvement in the Joomla! community was as vice president for the Joomla! User Association Sweden (JUAS). Since then she has been the President for the JUAS for several years, as well as project manager for many Joomla!Days and Joomla!Nights in Sweden. Sarah is a frequent speaker at events such as Joomla!Days, JAB and the JWC.

Joining OSM, Sarah feels really exited about working with the Joomla Certificate Program.

 
Thomas Hampton

Thomas began his career as an accountant and moved into management consulting ten years ago. He has helped many multi-national companies through business transformations using Oracle ERP technologies. He has maintained a focus in financial accountability, supply chain processes and BI analytics.

He became interested in CMS solutions in 2004 as a solution to his frustration in trying to create a website from scratch for a friend’s restaurant. He found Mambo but followed the Joomla team that would help him create many websites in the years since. In 2011 he wanted to give back to the Project, and based on his accounting skills was asked to help OSM as Assistant Treasurer. In 2012 he was elected to the position of Treasurer.

Marijke Stuivenberg (forum MarijkeS) lives in Enschede, The Netherlands. She got involved in the Joomla Community since 2007. Starting with translating Joomla in Dutch and helping in the Bug Squad. She is also participating in the Joomla Translation Coordination Team en helps testing security issues in JSST.

As one of the co-founders of JoomlaCommunity.eu she is very active in the Dutch Community on many areas. She is the leader of the Dutch Translation Team which maintains the Dutch Translations for Joomla and many 3rth party extensions.

Marijke is a musician by profession, in daily life she teaches young and old(er) how to play the Saxophone.

A long-time training expert in vertical markets, Mike Carson is the CEO of Integrated Technology and Design Inc, and the well-known online storefront called JoomlaShowroom, where he develops and distributes Joomla extensions.

Mike has been designing Joomla websites and developing very popular Joomla extensions since the infancy of the Joomla project (the Mambo days). Mike cannot even think of developing a website using any other framework other than the Joomla! Platform. Mike also speaks at various Joomla CMS related events and has a real passion for teaching people about this award winning content management system we call Joomla! Mike's unique entrepreneurial experience, combined with his uncanny ability to listen to the market and deliver winning solutions on a consistent basis make him a "must-attend" session for business people and developers alike at the conferences he speaks at.

Paulo lives in Maringá, Brazil and has been a front-end website developer since 1998. In 2005 he found Joomla! and fell in love right away, becoming addicted to the CMS and began contributing to the community. His first involvement in the Joomla! community was to organize a local Joomla! User Group (JUG).

He is proud to be a husband and daddy of two children, which are what he cares about most in life.

By joining OSM, Paulo looks forward to doing in the official leadership sphere what he has been doing locally for the past years: helping the Joomla! Community grow tighter and stronger.

An early 90's web graduate, Sandra Ordonez has been a hybrid web-communications professional since 1997. She served as Wikipedia's first "professional" Director of Communications, and has been part of various open source and web communities.

Currently, she helps organizations navigate the online universe, build their online "planet, and create kick-ass digital marketing and content strategies.

Sandra has years of experience working online with large international communities. She is a Native New Yorker who speaks Spanish fluently, and is obsessed with cross cultural communications. She graduated from American University with a double degree in public communication and international service.

Born in Poland, Radek has been living in Germany for the past ten years. A Joomla extension developer since 2006, he continues to study the Science of Informatics at Hochschule Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences. He works full time for the Sobi projects.

Radek's other Joomla involvement includes contributing to the work of the Bug Squad, and he is a member of the Social Media team.
